PID Board Meeting
January 21, 2019
In attendance: Kevin Prince, John Everett, Marion Alford, and Lori Voss
Meeting held at Soulshine Pizza, Flowood.
Meeting came to order at 6:06 p.m.
Financial Matters:
Entered into record are emails containing bank balances and reconciliation detail. (See attached.)
John reported that money transfer is done.
There is $221,612.42 in Trustmark account; $601,318.77 in Hancock Debt Service; $1,008,143.84 in Hancock Revenue; and $3,269.52 in Hancock Operating Fund.
Landscaping:
Weed Warriors’ work with dallis grass discussed. Decided Jay was doing a good job and let him continue working on getting rid of dallis grass along HW. Lori will let him know and ask for pricing for 2019 treatments.
Decided the irrigation system should be put on hold. Lori will contact Phil and let him know the go-ahead for $5,000 worth of work given last year is cancelled.
Lighting: Kevin met with Rankin County officials regarding lighting. Because the lighting was originally purchased through a federal grant, our hands are tied as far as replacing all lighting at one time. County explained that they can be replaced as they break because company that first installed them is out of business so that gives us the out to have them replaced with electric-powered lighting. County wants us to tell them which lights are currently out and they will begin replacing them.
Miscellaneous: There are a few areas of sidewalks that are buckled or otherwise damaged. Kevin will walk area and note areas that need work. Rankin County will fix sidewalks.
